Power and Electric Services in Tucson
Of the many things you’ll need in your Tucson real estate, power and electric are probably going to be one of the first things you want to set up. How are you going to move and unpack if you can’t even turn on the lights?
Current Homeowners
If you are a current owner of one of the Tucson homes, then you probably already have an account with Tucson Electric Power. You may even have an account if you have rented an apartment or home in the Tucson area depending on if the electric bill was in your name.
If you know you have power in your name, simply call Tucson Power and Electric and give them your current information, account number and the new address where you’ll want the electric to be set up. It should only take a few minutes for the rep to transfer your account to your new home, and then you’ll be all set up.
For Those New to Tucson
If you’ve never lived in Tucson, you’ll have to set up a new account with Tucson Electric Power. This isn’t much different than if you have an account, and should not take long, although you’ll probably have to provide the representative with some identifying information and maybe pay a deposit. They may decide to run a credit check as well. Once you’ve gotten your account set up, you should be able to immediately being using power and electric services.
Don’t wait to get your power and electric set up in your Tucson home. If you don’t get it set up, you won’t be able to turn the lights on, plug anything in or use any power at all during your move in period. Ideally, you should call before you move in so it’s ready when you get there.
