A Great Excursion through the Tucson Municipal Fishing Program
Have you recently relocated to Tucson? If you have found the perfect Tucson home and you have started making a life for yourself, then you may want to know about the Tucson Municipal Fishing Program. This program is a part of the Parks and Recreation Department and is designed to make sure anyone will be able to enjoy fishing throughout the year. If you are new to the Tucson area, then you will need to know about the basics of the program as well.
The Details
If you choose to take advantage of fishing in the Tucson area, then you will need to get a Tucson Urban Fishing License. Then, you can enjoy the program. All of the lakes include the same rules. For example, they are only open during the daytime hours so make sure you plan with plenty of time. In addition, the only boats that are allowed are those with electric motors or canoes. Swimming and wading is not allowed in any of the lakes. Pets are allowed, but be sure to keep them on a leash. It is requested that you do not feed birds or wildlife when you are at these urban lakes.
The Lakes
There are four different locations that are a part of the Tucson Municipal Fishing Program. Once you have an Urban Fishing License, then you can fish at any of the four when they are open. The lakes include Silverbell Lake at Christopher Columbus Park, Kennedy Lake at John F. Kennedy Park, Sahuarita Lake and Lakeside Park.
When you move into your Tucson home, then make sure you know where you can fish. You can easily enjoy the four lakes of the Tucson Municipal Fishing Program. Once you have your fishing license, you can enjoy them all whenever you would like.
