What to Expect

Patagonia Lake is about 250 acres of water and it offers all sorts of activities. Jet skiing, swimming, and water skiing are allowed in certain areas. However, to make sure fishers can have a great time, there are no wake zones set up and the motor sports are not allowed on weekends and holidays of the summer. In addition to fishing and water sports, the lake offers camping sites, picnic areas, hiking trails, bird watching stations, a pier, and a concession stand.

Where to Go

Once you make the decision to visit Patagonia Lake, then you just need to leave your Tucson home and head to Nogales. From there, take I-10 East for about twenty miles. You will need to take both highways 83 and 82 before arriving at the lake, which is just past the actual town of Patagonia. If you have anything that you have forgotten, then you can easily stop at Patagonia to pick up supplies from the general store.

When you want a great fishing vacation, then you do not have to look any further than Patagonia Lake. This lake is located less than an hour away from your Tucson home and there is plenty that you and your family can see and do in the lake area.
