Parker Canyon Lake covers a large area. In fact, in the whole of Coronado National Forest, Parker Canyon Lake is the largest available. Even in the summers, the early and late hours can be chilly due to the lake’s elevation, so you may want to be prepared.
The Fish
When you visit Parker Canyon Lake, you can expect to be able to fish for Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Catfish and Sunfish depending on the season. If you decide to take a boat, make sure it has a small motor that is electric and less than 8 horsepower or you will not be able to use it at this lake.
