Academic Excellence at Thornydale Elementary School
Students at Thornydale Elementary are part of a community that is committed to academic and personal achievement for all students. Programs
The Builders Club is a unique program offered at Thornydale Elementary School that teaches students skills in helping their community. Fifth and sixth grade students get the opportunity to participate in a variety of fundraising activities that benefit the school community. Some of the activities the Builders Club have completed include a food drive, personal hygiene drive, adopt a family, diaper drive and safe Halloween. The students and teachers enjoy being part of a community of people dedicated to making their surroundings better.
Activities
A variety of programs are available for students at Thornydale Elementary and include after school care programs, sporting programs and volunteer activities. Students are given the opportunity to show they can excel on a daily basis and with the guidance of their teachers and parents students are able to meet all their defined goals and move onto middle school.
