Student Awards
Many students work best when they are working toward a goal or award. Rattlesnake Ridge Elementary School works hard to award students for their superiority and excellence. Student awards for attendance are given out to all students who have perfect attendance in any single quarter. The Ooo~Rah award is given to students who observe safety, respect others and act responsibly. Another top award for students to receive is the Principal Award; this is given to students who achieve the top score in all of their core area classes. An award is also given to students who show appropriate behaviors on a consistent basis and it is called the Badge of Honor. Lastly, the Rocky Award is given to students who exceed expectations and demonstrate academic excellence.
Programs
One unique program that Rattlesnake Ridge is offering to their student is the Peer Mediators program where students learn how to start working together and solving problems on their own. This program helps to build self-esteem and build a stronger sense of cooperation among the students. Leadership skills are also development from students who attend this program. Other programs are available to students depending on their preferences and yearly enrollment in the program. Parents and teachers who continue to stay involved in these programs are what make them so tremendously successful.
