It Takes a Covey to Raise a Quail Run Elementary Student
The goal of Quail Run Elementary School is to improve student’s skills in oral and written language while also increasing their math and problem solving abilities. The community around this school is friendly and extremely accepting to individuals and families who have bought Tucson real estate recently. Students at the Quail Run Elementary School are dedicated to excelling in all their academic programs.
Educational Community
Students at Quail Run use the Accelerated Reader program to monitor their reading habits and progression towards goals. Students in grades 2 thru 6 read books that appeal to them and earn points based on the books they have read. The teacher then decides how many points each student much reach every semester. These goals help push students to keep reading on a daily basis.
Parents and teachers also work together to help provide free tutoring services to students in any subject they are struggling with. Other programs available to students at Quail Run include the Gifted Education in Marana program, or GEM, which offers accelerated learning opportunities for students who score in the 97th percentile on a standardized test.
Activities
A variety of programs are available for students at Quail Run Elementary School to sign up or participate in. A spelling bee is offered on a whole school basis and gives students the opportunity to practice their spelling skills. The Kind Kids program is another local program that helps teach students how to show gratitude and kindness towards others. Additionally, Band and Orchestra classes are available for students to sign up for at the beginning of their fifth grade year in school.
