Developing Strong Kids at Marana Middle School
The students of Marana Middle School are called Falcons and enjoy growing and learning as 7th and 8th graders. This lush campus is dedicated to meeting all the needs of students and offers services for special education, traditional and advanced student programs. The teachers and students of Marana Middle School work together to meet behavioral goals and establish and new changes to the educational programs at the middle school.
Education
The teachers so Marana Middle School strive to recognize students for all of their academic accomplishments. They also urge students to take responsibility for their own learning and push students to meet high expectations. It is the vision of Marana Middle School that all students leaving for high school will be able to think creatively and critically, solve complex problems, know what their passions are in life and communicate with others. Teachers believe if they are able to help students meet all these criteria the students will be more successful when they reach high school.
Activities
Sports activities are plentiful at Marana Middle School and students can enjoy a variety of sports including football, track, wrestling and softball. After school dances are sponsored by the Marana Police Department four times per year and give students the opportunity to socialize in a safe and fun environment. Elective activities are available for students to add into their regular school schedule and include art, technology and business classes. All students at Marana Middle School are encouraged to discuss their desires for classes and extracurricular activities with their school advisor. Many programs are offered both during school and after school to fit into all students busy lives.
