The Butterfield Elementary Bobcats
As one of eleven elementary schools in the Marana Unified School District, Butterfield Elementary is an excellent way for kids to enjoy their schooling. The school received the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence award. Activities
Several school-sponsored programs are available for kids to take advantage of here at Butterfield Elementary. K-Kids is a service project organization, Butterfield student council, chorus and news groups are also great ways for students to learn and grow while attending this school. The Mad Science after school club is another great way for kids to get their fill of activities, although it is not sponsored by the school, this science club meets on the school grounds for six weeks in the spring and fall semesters. Another exciting afterschool program that takes place on the school grounds is the Young Rembrandts, which teaches weekly drawing classes to students and offers additional education in the art of drawing and painting.
Programs
One of the extra programs offered at Butterfield is the Learning, Enrichment and Play, L.E.A.P., program. This innovative program offers a licensed childcare facility year round to the families and staff in the Marana school district school. Available before and after school care makes it easy and convenient for families to provide a safe afterschool environment. Another helpful program, which operates at the Butterfield School, is the Homework Club, which offers students time after school to work on their homework and is sponsored by a tax credit so it is free for families.
