The Lay of the Land

Green Valley Desert MeadowsThe Tucson real estate properties that make up Green Valley Desert Meadows community are located in a suburb of Tucson known as Green Valley. Green Valley is located on some of the most wonderful terrain in Arizona. The land is 2,980 feet above sea level, giving the area a great climate all year long. In the distance around the area you can see the Santa Rita Mountains. There are numerous trails that people use to hike along the mountain area. Green Valley is also home to several copper mines.

The People Who Call It Home

There are a total of 59 Homeowner Associations in the Green Valley area, as there are many subdivisions similar to Green Valley Desert Meadows. The largest part of the population of Green Valley is folks who are in their late 60s and have officially retired from their careers. Most of the folks who make up the retirement community are married couples. About 25% of the households in the community are owned by single people who are living alone, and about 1.5% are families with children. The overall population is around 17,000, so it has a small town feel, but within a short driving distance from the city of Tucson.

Many of the Tucson homes in Green Valley Desert Meadows have Caucasian owners, but the neighborhoods still have some ethnic diversity that will allow people of different cultures to connect with one another and learn a great deal about each other.

The Green Valley Desert Meadows community is an active one. If you are married, you can take your sweetheart out for a romantic and delicious meal at one of over 42 restaurants and then follow it up with a movie at the local theater.
